Nordtek is a university consortium between rectors/deans of the technical universities/faculties in the Nordic countries. Membership requires that you have to have a background in advanced engineering up to the Master’s level and PhD in a technical research field. The members represent 27 universities, more than 120,000 students, teachers and researchers. Nordtek has 23 members.

RTU DEVELOPMENT FUND. The statutory aim of the foundation “Riga Technical University Development Fund” is to carry out activities aimed at providing public goods, attract donations and grants from organizations, legal entities and individuals in order to help tertiary technical education establishments, first of all, RTU, become modern centres of education, science and culture in Latvia.

BALTIC ASSEMBLY is  an international organisation established with the aim of promoting cooperation between the parliaments of the Republic of Estonia, the Republic of Latvia and the Republic of Lithuania. The Baltic Assembly is an entity under international law, and it adopts decisions in compliance with the principles of equality, mutual benefit and unanimity.

The Baltic Assembly consists of members of three delegations – 12-16 parliamentarians from each member state who are appointed in accordance with the principle of proportional political representation in each national parliament. Each member of the Baltic Assembly participates in the work of one of five standing committees or Presidium. Each year one of the Baltic States takes over the Presidency.
