Kaunas University of Technology (hereinafter KTU), is a public research university located in Kaunas, Lithuania. Established in 1922, KTU has been seen as one of Lithuania’s top science education centers. It is an interdisciplinary university, competitive at the international level, developing and transferring new knowledge and innovations.
KTU provides studies and research in engineering, technologies, physical and social sciences, humanities and arts studies, sustains extensive links with business and industry, engages in joint projects with the largest local companies, international corporations, state and cultural institutions. The University awards Bachelors’, Masters’ and Doctors’ degrees as well as a professional qualification.
It continues to pursue sustainable partnership of science, business and industry, develops and implements new ideas, innovations and inventions.
The Kaunas University of Technology has 9 faculties, 8 institutes, 9 research centres, 2 integrated centres (valleys) of research, studies and business. The KTU National Innovations and Entrepreneurship Centre is responsible for the protection and commercialisation of the university’s scientific production. The university has an established Artificial Intelligence Centre responsible for the formulation of KTU’s policy on the development and coordination of activities related to artificial intelligence.
